Field Services is a up and coming sector
in Westpro's operation and would interest the right individual who is
ambitious, has the self-initiative, and enough common sense and ground
level skills to make this division grow and prosper.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Field Service Technician will
be responsible for the supervision of the commissioning of Westpro's
equipment in the field and for advising and supervising field warranty and
service work. The Candidate must be open to gain the necessary experience
to become proficient in the operation of Westpro's varied equipment line
and systems. The candidate must coordinate with the customer, the
customer's contractor and Westpro' project manager to ensure timely
completion of installation. The candidate must have the ability to trouble
shoot and solve fabrication errors relative to proper installation and to
solve operation problems. The ability to read engineering drawings, read
technical manuals, possess MS Excel and Word skills are all necessary. The
candidate should possess a post-secondary diploma, degree or equivalent in
any related field. Hands on experience in machining, mechanics,
fabricating and welding will be an asset. Candidate will also have a
minimum of five years experience in the mining and mineral processing
industry, must be available to travel for extended periods and possess a
current valid passport.
