We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing Sales Team. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and collaborating with technical experts to deliver real solutions to customers.
This position can be based in Vernon or Vancouver, BC, with a primary sales focus in Canada (and opportunities to support global initiatives). We offer a competitive salary, commission structure, and comprehensive benefits.
What You’ll Do
As a key member of our Sales Team, you’ll work closely with Process Engineers, Proposal Engineers, and the Sales Manager to identify opportunities and convert leads into long-term customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying, researching, and qualifying new sales opportunities and projects
- Engaging prospective clients through calls, emails, and industry outreach
- Presenting Westpro’s capabilities and solutions to potential customers
- Understanding customer needs and recommending tailored equipment solutions
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
- Scheduling meetings between prospects and senior sales or technical team members
- Collaborating internally to develop accurate and timely quotations
- Following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term success
- Maintaining accurate customer and opportunity data in Salesforce
- Representing Westpro at industry conferences, tradeshows, and events
- Occasional travel as required
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who is driven, organized, and confident in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial or technical products
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Economics, or Engineering
- Proven ability to prospect, cold call, and develop new business
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities independently
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with mineral processing equipment, mining, aggregates, or wastewater industries
