The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical design, hydraulic, electrical, instrumentation and controls. This position will be based in the <strong>Vernon, BC<\/strong> office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a key member of our Engineering Team, you\u2019ll work closely with Process Engineers, Proposal Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical\/Control Engineer and the Engineering Manager to design Westpro\u2019s equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Design mineral processing, wastewater, and aggregate equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with the design, processing, and production teams to provide the best technically developed product to meet the requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create 3D models of assemblies, components, weldments, machined parts, and castings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluate the material and surface coating options for manufacturability and longevity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Generate detailed drawings following internal and industrial standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with the sales team to prepare equipment estimates for quotation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete BOMs, project summaries, GAs, P&amp;IDs, PFDs, spare parts lists, engineering datasheets, product manuals, components specifications, and internal standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work directly with vendors for part specifications and component selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel to domestic and global suppliers for pre-inspection, inspection and evaluation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply engineering principles to analyze designs for structural integrity, reliability, manufacturability, and performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Determine solutions to engineering and manufacturing issues as they arise.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete root cause analysis investigations and implement field resolutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel to customer sites to support installation, commissioning, and inspections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comply with engineering standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You Bring<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re looking for someone who is driven, organized, and confident in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy machinery design in mining, construction or related industries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advanced skill level in SolidWorks and AutoCAD<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficient with Word, Excel, and other Office programs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A versatile, highly motivated self-starter, able to plan, organize and lead projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Machine shop, and on-site field experience is an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project management experience an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with fluid power, electrical, instrumental, and control is an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nice to Have:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Familiarity with mineral processing equipment, mining, aggregates, or wastewater industries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional Engineering (P.Eng) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why Join Westpro?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work with a collaborative, experienced team of engineers and sales professionals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gain exposure to global projects and diverse customers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grow your career in a stable, privately-owned organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be part of a company that values innovation, quality, and long-term relationships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pay:<\/strong>&nbsp;CA$60,000.00 &#8211; CA$80,000.00 per year<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please email your resume and cover letter to:<br>\ud83d\udce7 <a href=\"mailto:HumanResources@WestproMachinery.com\">HumanResources@WestproMachinery.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Join Our Engineering Team at Westpro Machinery Build relationships.
