The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical design, hydraulic, electrical, instrumentation and controls. This position will be based in the <strong>Vernon, BC<\/strong> office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a key member of our Engineering Team, you\u2019ll work closely with Process Engineers, Proposal Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and the Engineering Manager to design Westpro\u2019s equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participate in the designing, manufacturing, testing and commissioning of mineral processing equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete detailed designs of electrical industrial power panels and PLC panels that meet project requirements and adhere to internal and industrial standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create electrical schematics, termination diagrams, cable schedules, load lists, BOMs, I\/O schedules, P&amp;ID diagrams and other project documentation as required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete electrical engineering calculations for design, sizing, and component selections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete detailed specifications and control narratives for components and equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete programming of ladder logic with Allen-Bradley, Schneider and Siemens software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with the supply chain team to help with sourcing and procurement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create work instructions, inspection test plans and factory acceptance test plans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with the production teams to provide support and guidance throughout the build process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the electrical and control parameters for instruments, transmitters, starters, VFDs, and PIDs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide in-person support for internal testing and on-site commissioning as required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform internal quality check to audit the panels, wiring, and labelling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement new electrical designs that incorporate standard modules across various product lines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be willing to travel for inspections during the manufacturing process, internal testing, and on-site support and commissioning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You Bring<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re looking for someone who is driven, organized, and confident in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Degree in Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5-10 years of experience in the design of industrial electrical panels and equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience commissioning, troubleshooting, and configuring industrial power and control equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with mineral processing, mining and\/or heavy machinery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge and experience with electrical codes and standards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of PLC Ladder Logic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent time management and multitasking skills required<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nice to Have:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Familiarity with mineral processing equipment, mining, aggregates, or wastewater industries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional Engineering (P.Eng) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) an asset.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why Join Westpro?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work with a collaborative, experienced team of engineers and sales professionals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gain exposure to global projects and diverse customers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grow your career in a stable, privately-owned organization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be part of a company that values innovation, quality, and long-term relationships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pay:<\/strong>&nbsp;CA$60,000.00 &#8211; CA$80,000.00 per year<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please email your resume and cover letter to:<br>\ud83d\udce7 <a href=\"mailto:HumanResources@WestproMachinery.com\">HumanResources@WestproMachinery.com<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Join Our Engineering Team at Westpro Machinery Build relationships.
