This role is ideal for a senior mineral processing professional who enjoys mentoring engineers, owning process solutions, and working closely with Sales and Project teams to deliver optimized, commercially competitive flowsheets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This position can be based in <strong>Vancouver<\/strong>, BC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You\u2019ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the <strong>Senior Mineral Process Engineer<\/strong>, you will be the technical authority for mineral processing applications during the proposal and pre-project phases, while also supporting execution teams through fabrication, commissioning, and start-up. You will lead a team of process engineers and ensure that Westpro\u2019s process designs are technically sound, practical to operate, and aligned with customer objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will play a critical role in balancing metallurgical performance, equipment selection, constructability, operability, and cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Technical &amp; Process Leadership<\/strong><ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Mineral Processing Engineers<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Act as the senior technical reviewer for process designs, mass balances, flowsheets, and equipment selections<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Ensure process solutions are optimized for recovery, throughput, operability, and lifecycle cost<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain consistency with Westpro process standards, design philosophies, and best practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proposal &amp; Customer Support<\/strong><ul><li>Support Sales and Proposal teams by translating customer requirements into clear, competitive process solutions<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Review RFQs and bid specifications, clarifying technical scope and risks<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Engage directly with customers to explain process concepts, equipment selections, and trade-offs<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collaborate with vendors and OEMs to validate equipment performance and pricing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Project Execution &amp; Commissioning<\/strong><ul><li>Provide technical support to Engineering, Project Management, and Production teams during detailed design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Participate in site commissioning, performance testing, troubleshooting, and optimization<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare technical reports and site documentation following commissioning activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Knowledge Development &amp; Industry Engagement<\/strong><ul><li>Stay current with advancements in mineral processing technologies and equipment<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Contribute to continuous improvement of Westpro\u2019s process tools, standards, and training materials<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Represent Westpro at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Deliver internal and customer-facing training on mineral processing equipment and process flows<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You Bring<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are a technically strong mineral processing professional with leadership experience and the confidence to own process solutions from concept through commissioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Degree in Mineral Processing Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in mineral processing operations, engineering, or technology development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience developing mass balances, flowsheets, and equipment selections for crushing, grinding, classification, gravity separation, flotation, thickening, and filtration circuits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of mineral processing equipment performance and operating principles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience supporting commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical personnel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including mass balance modeling), Word, and PowerPoint<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and decision-making capability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why Westpro<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Canadian-owned company with a collaborative, long-term mindset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High-impact role with ownership over process solutions and technical direction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Opportunity to work on global mining projects across diverse commodities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Balanced mix of technical depth, leadership, and customer engagement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stable, growth-oriented organization with a strong engineering culture<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please email your resume and cover letter to:<br>\ud83d\udce7 <a href=\"mailto:HumanResources@WestproMachinery.com\">HumanResources@WestproMachinery.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Westpro Machinery is an equal opportunity employer.
