PRESS RELEASE: Westpro Delivers Record-Breaking Flocculant Mixing System – Built Entirely in Canada

Publication Date: octubre 9th, 2025

Vernon, Canada – October 2, 2025 — Westpro has completed delivery of one of the largest Flocculant Mixing System in its portfolio, the FMS 1000-60-80 Flocculant Mixing System, designed and fabricated at the company’s Canadian facility. This project reflects Westpro’s ability to provide large-scale, custom mineral processing equipment for demanding industrial operations.

The system includes a 13 ft diameter × 18 ft high water heating tank, a mixing tank of equal dimensions, and a 14 ft diameter × 20 ft high holding tank, in addition to a bag breaker, pneumatic conveyor, wetting head, and dual-prop agitator for effective flocculant handling, dissolution, and polymer maturation. The mixing tank was built with a bridge-only configuration for direct platform interface, while a PLC- and HMI-controlled automation package enables efficient startup, shutdown, and continuous monitoring.

Additional project-specific features include pressure relief valves, flow meters, an extended bag breaker platform, bag breaker weigh scales for flocculant load monitoring, an inlet control valve skid, and a static mixer. These custom elements ensure both operational reliability and longterm durability in a challenging site environment.

Westpro continues to set the standard for Canadian-built mineral processing equipment, showcasing its ability to deliver robust, scalable systems for critical industrial applications.

“Delivering one of our largest flocculant systems to date, entirely built in Canada, is a proud achievement for our team,” said Carleton Banks, Engineering Manager at Westpro. “It reflects our dedication to high performance engineering and our ability to meet the evolving needs of industrial clients with precision and reliability.”
